PMEGP
The Government of India introduced the PMEGP scheme in August 2008 by merging PMRY and REGP. It is a central sector scheme administered by the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MoMSME) and implemented by KVIC at the nodal level, and at the state level by KVIB & DIC. The scheme aims to generate employment in rural and urban areas by setting up new self-employment ventures/projects/micro-enterprises.
